FIPS JUICY: BEST STORIES OF THE WEEK
In case you've spent the week following the First Lady's new tweets, or celebrating last night's long-awaited return of 30 Rock, here's a quick wrap-up of juicy FiPS news that graced the pages of our blog this week:
* Park Slope Has Its Very Own Hip Hop Group: I just... you have to see it for yourself.
* Talde's Menu has arrived (and they'll be opening this sunday): Erica put it best: "Our long expressed dreams for Korean fried chicken in the nabe are f-i-n-a-l-l-y coming true."
* Marty Markowitz Thinks We should all lose our shirts down on coney: And so the debate begins -- is this good or bad for Coney?
* Cool or not cool: Letting your kids eat on the subway?: We know kids have to eat and all, but if parents don't have the means or desire to clean up after their spillage, should they wait until returning home to feed their little ones?
* Park Slope After Dark: Time Out NY featured a Park Slope-heavy list of great late night spots and services.
* Barrio to reopen as barrio plates: The newly-named (sorta') joint will reopen with a new menu on January 16th.
*Prime 6 spot to serve burgers, not bottle service: Which will be such a relief to the CRAZY petition-creating Park Slopers who were terrified of the "hoops and hip hop crowd" that a clubby lounge would have brought. Bullet dodged, right? Oy.
