Epic Fail: Kensington Post Office Prints "Frooklyn" Slips
For any Post Office, the #1 thing that they shouldn't totally fuck up is an address. Our neighbors over at the Kensington Post Office can't even get that right. They recently printed thousands of package pick-up slips that renamed our borough "Frooklyn, NY" (which totally sounds like where the Fraggles would live if their caves were forcefully occupied by the Gorgs).
I can't imagine that people wouldn't know which borough to collect their mail from -- it's not like we have similarly named "Drooklyn" and "Grooklyn" boroughs for them to wonder about, but still -- you'd think that once the post office caught the misprint they'd fix it. According to the Brooklyn paper, it doesn't look like that's gonna happen:
And it doesn’t seem that they’re going to correct the error: the post office, which many consider one of the worst in the city because of its rude workers and long lines, was still using the botched pick-up slips when this reporter stopped by last week.
Lastly, this is the same post office that, back in 2006, sparked this Youtube video of an enraged customer screaming at an employee. The whole exchange really is Frooklyn, NY at it's finest.
