Details Emerge On Prospect Park's Great Googa Mooga Fest
New details have emerged on the outdoor food and music fest that Superfly, the folks behind Bonnaroo, are bringing to Prospect Park for a weekend in May. The Great Googa Mooga, a self-described "amusement park of food and drink," will host around 75 food vendors, 35 brewers, 30 winemakers and 20 live music performances. Here are just a few of the talents that we can expect to stuff our gullets with food and booze:
Anthony Bourdain, Chef, Author and Host of No Reservations and The Layover, David Rockwell, Founder and CEO of the Rockwell Group, Allan Benton, Owner and Curer-in-Chief of Benton’s Smoky Mountain Country Hams, Marcus Samuelsson, Chef and Owner of Red Rooster, Eddie Huang, Chef and Owner of BaoHaus, Paul Grieco, Sommelier and Co-owner of Terrior, Terrior TriBeCa, and Hearth, Garrett Oliver, Brewmaster of Brooklyn Brewery, and Darin & Greg Bresnitz, the Brooklyn food and music connoisseurs known as Finger on the Pulse. GoogaMooga will bring some of New York’s most loved dining destinations to Prospect Park. Among the festival’s growing list of vendors are Tom Colicchio’s Colicchio & Sons, April Bloomfield and Ken Friedman’s The Spotted Pig, Roberta’s, Christina Tosi’s Momofuku Milk Bar, Daniel Boulud’s DBGB Kitchen & Bar, M.Wells, Do or Dine, Frankies 457 Spuntino, Russ & Daughters and the Big Gay Ice Cream Shop
The variety of musical acts, which will perform on two different stages over the weekend, will be announced in the next few weeks. Tickets will be available free of charge Thursday, March 15th at 12PM. You can nab 'em HERE.
