An Oddist Shackled a Burned-Out Skeleton to a Tree on Fourth Ave...and How's Your Morning?
In Brooklyn, there's art. You know, big, fancy, expensive art in big, fancy expensive galleries. Then, there's art. You know, in Bushwick and stuff. (No further comment. Moving on.)
Then there's some guy shackling a burned-out fake skeleton to a tree in a vacant lot on Fourth Avenue and 12th Street. Which is some sort of mix between art, Schindler's List, probably some kind of protest against the Food Co-Op (everything is, right?), and fodder for the Park Slope Patch, who reported the story. And it's scaring kids (no complaints here, shrug), pissing off the locals (acutally, no complaints there either), and causing people us use words like "oddist" when refering to the artist, which is just plain weird in and of itself.
OK, sensory overload here. What the fuck is wrong with people? Keep your weird fetishes inside your houses. On what earth did anyone think this would be a good idea? Is it Halloween? I just...I...what the fucking fuck.
Despite all the noise, though, people in this neighborhood know who the dude responsible for the skeleton is, yet won't give him up. THE FIRST WORLD TENSION. YOU CAN CUT IT WITH A GRAPEFRUIT KNIFE.
According to one Patch commenter, looks like the nabe made enough noise that the creepathon has been taken down--can anyone confirm? Has anyone passed this shit? Good lord, people.
