An English synthpop musician bought Jenna Lyons's Townhouse
J. Crew President Jenna Lyons's 4-story, 7-bedroom townhouse is officially off the market. 178 Garfield Place, with it's "plaster cornices and medallions, aged pine floors, seven restored limestone mantels, 3.5 bathrooms, an eat-in cook’s kitchen, a large private terrace and a cellar that has been converted to a media room for entertaining" -- has been sold to English Synthpop musician Vince Clarke (welcome to the nabe, VC!).
This past October, Lyons filed for divorce from husband Vincent Mazeau after falling for another woman in the fashion industry. Shortly after, the townhouse went on the market, which Lyons and her husband purchased for $1.3M in 2004. The house was sold for a significantly marked up $4M, and was brokered by a husband and wife team with Sotheby’s International Realty. No word on where Jenna Lyons has re-located, but if you wish to mourn the beauty of 178 Garfield while it was under her care, you can see more photos of the place HERE.
