All Charges To Be Dropped Against Park Slope Man Suspected of Groping

Security footage and dinner receipts have provided an alibi for 26 year-old Park Slope resident Karl Vanderwoude, who was arrested last month and charged with two counts of third-degree sexual abuse, two counts of forcible touching and one count of second-degree unlawful surveillance. A few weeks ago, Vanderwoude told The Post that the whole ordeal was a case of mistaken identity

On February 27th around 2PM, a 19 year-old woman was groped on Second Ave. and E. 67th St. Security tapes provided by Vanderwoude's employee, as well as other evidence, show that on that same day and time Vanderwoude was in his office sending out emails.

On March 20th around 7:20PM, a 22 year-old woman was groped on Chambers and Church Street. Vanderwoude's attorney provided a dinner receipt proving that he was out eating with friends at the time of that attack.

“It’s quite disturbing for him," Vanderwoude's lawyer told the Daily News. "He’s a nice young man and we're hoping he can put his life back [together]."

All charges are expected to be dropped today.
