Anyone ever been to the Fireworks display at Grand Army Plaza? Wondering how lame it is?

I think the GAP (actually, they're launched from the Park between 2nd and 3rd St.) fireworks are pretty cool. We usually bring our glass of champagne with us, watch the fireworks and then go to sleep.
There's a bit of a small-town feel to the festivities. And, thankfully, no Marty Markowitz.
